November 14 might finally be a game-changing day for Leicester City fans

Leicester City needs a serious redirection, and we mean that by every stretch of the definition. No matter which you'd perceive change is necessary, you'd be right.

Leicester is a rotten club from top to bottom right now. It's all well and good fans blaming the manager, as we all know he's the easiest target, but what about his employers? What about the players who might not be listening to his instructions?

With all that being said, Leicester is beginning their restructuring in a place where it should have been restructured a long time ago - the helm. There might just be a new sporting director in place soon, and fans, for once, will know about it ahead of time.

Save the date November 14, Leicester City fans

According to a report from John Percy of the Telegraph, Leicester City is on the hunt for a new technical director, and chairman Khun Top (Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha) is leading the recruitment process.

For once, the Foxes are even willing to part ways with some cash, as they are prepared to pay compensation to any director still in a job.

And, if the willing sacrifice of precious gold coins didn't surprise you enough, there's going to be another element which is completely unlike Leicester: communication.

I know, I think we all collectively fainted there.

Percy also revealed that Khun Top will address supporters in an interview, and that will be released by Leicester later today (Friday, November 14).

It's too early to throw out potential names for who will be added to the director hotseat, but what we do know is this: they will work closely with Martyn Glover.

A technical director is not the only role that Leicester is looking to hire, but it's arguably their most pressing right now. A new chief executive and commercial director are also expected to be on the wishlist.

As it stands, Leicester City is 12th in the Championship. It's a weird-looking second-flight table, but nobody would have felt safe betting on their East Midlands friends Derby County being above them at the start of this season.

As previously mentioned, there are multiple reasons why Leicester has fallen so far below expectations this season, but they can all be condensed down to one thing, and that's manic chaos.

At least Top is in the process of restoring some of that order. Let's hope the Foxes make the right decision; it's about time supporters were given a reason to smile again.
