Two photos of Leicester City icon Jamie Vardy separated by almost ten years have gone viral. The pictures show the centre forward and another current star of the King Power club. Though in one, the younger Fox is a ballboy cheering on his soon-to-be teammate.

The most successful and famous ever Fox to play for Leicester City is Jamie Vardy. On Sunday, the former England striker played his final game for the East Midlands club. They managed to defeat Ipswich Town, who have also been relegated from the Premier League, by two goals to nil. It was an equally historic, sad and buoyant day for the King Power fan base. Bittersweet.

The fact that Vardy incredibly produced his 200th finish in 500 appearances made the day easier and more enjoyable for his loyal faithful. Amazingly, one of the first people to celebrate the 38-year-old's milestone was an LCFC player who was also in the Leicester academy as a youth.

The second City man in question is also now an international footballer in his own right, playing for the Republic of Ireland National Team. But the fascinating element here is that almost ten years ago, during the unbelievable 2015/16 EPL title-winning season, the two Foxes were pictured together in another notable top flight match.

What a story for Leicester City forward Kasey McAteer and now ex-Fox Jamie Vardy

That day, the Leicestershire side came from behind to beat Birmingham outfit Aston Villa. And current City winger Kasey McAteer was pictured at the King Power as ballboy in the background cheering on Vards, or more accurate, appealing for a penalty. Consequently and rightly, the photograph has gone viral.

You can see the shot for yourself above. Also shown is McAteer jumping on Vardy's back in celebration versus the Tractor Boys at the weekend. What an astonishing moment to be captured, one almost beyond belief when considering the corresponding earlier image.
