Leicester 0-2 Blackburn: 3 talking points in defeat for the Champions

Leicester City finally lift the trophy, securing their aim of going straight back up. However, it ended in defeat for the Champion Foxes who should have made the match a parade. Nevertheless, there is plenty to talk about post-game

Goodbyes

Kelechi Iheanacho, Marc Albrighton, Wilfred Ndidi, Jamie Vardy, Callum Doyle, Yunus Akgun, Dennis Praet, and the revolutionised Jannik Vestergaard. These are the players who's time with the Foxes will come to an end unless new contracts or permanent moves are made. Some of them have had absolutely amazing careers with Leicester City and will be missed if they end up leaving.

Obviously a new contract has to be on the table for the legendary Vardy. However, Senior Man Kels who had waited so patiently for his chance leaves without being given the opportunity to be our main man which he deserved to be. Meanwhile, there have to be conversations about keeping Doyle and extending Vestergaard's stay at the King Power.

All I can say is that the end of our previous era is finally here, and a new phase with a new style of football, under the Italian head coach with completely new faces and promoted youth players is here. Plus, with the PSR concerns there is a massive chance for younger players to really make their mark before the Champions can sign expensive talent to join their squad.
