Seven games played, six points gained, 15th in the Premier League. Steve Cooper has thus far navigated Leicester City through myriad fixtures against tough and relegation rival opposition to an uncomfortable but 'fine' position in the league after their return to the competition. Obviously, supporters can always demand more, and the team selection is a big part of that.

The King Power side have been rather lucky this season when it comes to injures: the team are only missing a handful of players who would not be the starting talent anyway. Therefore, that is not what is negatively impacting Cooper's team selection. That would be the Welshman's indecision over his best XI and lack of recognition of obviously potent attacking talent in favour of more balanced although less impactful players.

Leicester City injury news

As per PremierInjuries, the Foxes have only a handful of concerns at this time. Long term, Patson Daka and Jakub Stolarczyk have been unavailable for selection. This has meant in the EFL Cup, Danny Ward has featured instead of the Polish goalkeeper that impressed last campaign. Meanwhile, the lack of the Zambian forward does inhibit the attacking options that Cooper possesses, and arguably could be the starter ahead of Jamie Vardy in matches against lower opposition to give the Englishman a break.

Academy graduate and personal favourite Hamza Choudhury damaged his shoulder without any major impact during training. As such, the player is likely to be out for at least a couple weeks or up to a couple months as the English midfielder recovers. Again, Choudhury is not a starter for the King Power side, but offers an immense amount of versatility: he can play in defence or midfield, and often shows a great deal of passion and energy to make challenges - something Cooper should really bring on later in matches to see the games through.

Jannik Vestergaard - left aside for Caleb Okoli - is also described as suffering from an ankle injury. However, the Danish international has apparently returned to full training ahead of the Bournemouth match although was unfit for return then. So, we can assume the Dane will return and will likely get back into the senior starting XI after his performances across last season and the start of this campaign.
