According to The Athletic, Leicester City sources who are said to be 'close to the playing squad' have suggested that some Foxes players are 'unclear' about the identity of the team under latest boss Steve Cooper. Although the ex-Nottingham Forest manager seems to know exactly how he wants his men to play, even stubbornly refusing to consider changing his system.

Nevertheless, it is easy to see that something is lost in translation when watching the disjointed King Power side. The squad is clearly trying to execute the instructions set out by the Welshman. Maybe the roster is not adept or experienced enough to apply Cooper's methods. Yet there is a chance that the 44-year-old was unintelligible when conveying his strategy and stratagems. What's been said, and how can LCFC get themselves out of an already developing Premier League mess?

Foxes at Arsenal in Premier League

City have the formidable task of defeating arguably one of the best teams in the world on Saturday. A few years ago, I never thought I'd be saying that about the Gunners. I was not impressed by Mikel Arteta at the beginning, but he has surely won over every realistic football fan by now with a wonderfully redoubtable Arsenal side.

AFC are so good at present that they are closely rivalling an almost impeccable Manchester City. Pep Guardiola's galacticos Citizens have a competitor; a remarkable achievement from one-time Guardiola teacher's pet and protégé Arteta.

To be honest, none of this fills me with the confidence that LCFC can get even one point from their Emirates Stadium trip. If you were a betting man you'd gamble heavily on the Gunners, difficult as it is for the Blue Army to admit. Cooper claims that this game isn't a free hit for Arsenal. So, presumably, Leicester will go for it. I have to admire this stance.

In addition to the aforementioned aspect, one or two other factors bode fairly well for the Foxes. The North London outfit are suffering with a few crucial injury absences at present. Quality defender Ben White is dealing with an issue. Superb goalkeeper David Raya, another who rapidly improved, is a doubt. Meanwhile captain and playmaker extraordinaire Martin Odegaard is unavailable.
