Recently speaking to the media, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has addressed his up-to-date Arsenal injury news. The Spanish boss revealed a concern ahead of hosting Leicester.

Leicester City will travel to the Emirates Stadium this weekend to face Arsenal. Without a doubt, this is the toughest match for Steve Cooper so far this season.

Steve Cooper is currently under pressure at Leicester City to get his first league win. The chances of achieving this against Arsenal are admittedly slim but stranger things have happened in the Premier League.

Indeed, Leicester City fans will be happy to hear about the recent Arsenal injury news. Mikel Arteta has spoken to the media about a potential injury concern which could hinder the home side.

Mikel Arteta reveals worrying Arsenal injury news before Leicester clash

According to a report from 90min, Mikel Arteta is currently unsure whether David Raya will be involved in Arsenal's weekend match against Leicester City. The former Brentford shot-stopper has suffered a muscular injury.

In his own words, Arteta said: "We don't know [if Raya will be fit to play Leicester] yet, he's got a muscular injury."

So, David Raya is not yet ruled out of Arsenal vs Leicester this weekend. However, worryingly for Arsenal fans, he is not deemed fit yet either. So, it looks like a race against time for David Raya.

Last season, David Raya won the Premier League golden glove award. He picked up the most clean sheets in his debut season for the Gunners, hence Mikel Arteta's desire to sign him permanently.

Raya put in another exceptional display against champions Man City last weekend, after stopping a penalty just a few days beforehand. So, he is the Premier League goalkeeper in the most form right now.

In midweek, Arsenal faced Bolton. It was an EFL Cup match, with David Raya missing out. Due to unforeseen circumstances, 16-year-old keeper Jack Porter became Arsenal's youngest ever starter.

Leicester City fans should not expect to see Jack Porter involved this weekend. While the teenager played well, Neto will fill in for Arsenal if David Raya is unable to play.

Neto only missed out in midweek due to being cup-tied. The 35 year old could be trusted between the sticks to try and prevent Jamie Vardy. Neto is currently on loan at Arsenal from Bournemouth.

So, Arsenal do have an option, if David Raya doesn't recover from his muscle injury in time.
