There are two main Leicester City stories to cover on Sunday, ahead of the team welcoming Tottenham Hotspur to King Power Stadium. First of all, we predict a Foxes XI for the Spurs encounter. Will any new LCFC signings start the match? And which Fox will begin up front for the east Midlands outfit consequent to a striker shortage?

The second story is a particularly relevant transfer claim. The Leicestershire side have supposedly had a £20m-plus bid accepted for a Tottenham player. That's right - on the eve of the two clubs meeting in their respective Premier League opener. Which Lilywhites star is ostensibly close to joining? And is it a positive acquisition prospectively?

Predicted Leicester City XI vs Tottenham Hotspur

First off all, let's begin with LCFC squad fitness news. As you'll all be aware, City are struggling for fit centre forwards at present; Jamie Vardy and Patson Daka are unavailable for differing lengths of time. Conor Coady won't be available at centre back. Meanwhile Luke Thomas is also potentially unfit.

There is talk of Tom Cannon being an unfavourable choice in manager Cooper's eyes. So Stephy Mavididi or Bobby De Cordova-Reid might perhaps play up top. I see Caleb Okoli as a rival to his fellow centre halves. Boubakary Soumare may start ahead of Hamza Choudhury. Therefore we can predict a beginning side.

Foxes of Leicester believe the following could possibly be City's starting XI: Mads Hermansen; James Justin, Wout Faes, Jannik Vestergaard, Ricardo Pereira; Harry Winks, Choudhury; Wilfred Ndidi; De Cordova-Reid, Abdul Fatawu; Mavididi.

Skipping to Leicester?

Well, Skipp is definitely en route to King Power Stadium, to answer my own subheading question. The distinction is whether the Englishman will lineup for Ange Postecoglou or Steve Cooper. It appears as though the latter scenario is more likely at this stage, if we trust reporting in the media this weekend.

Although, Skipp won't actually be able to represent Leicester on Monday evening for the keenly anticipated fixture. This is because, as Leicester Mercury report, the deadline to register players for that day has now passed. So very new additions from the transfer market will not feature.

Is Oliver Skipp a solid purchase?

The 23-year-old does improve the Leicester midfield. Though a different profile with further attacking threat would be preferable at this moment. His 16 years at Tottenham speaks of his overall calibre. I'd give this one a 7.5/10.
