As FoL reported, there is a difference of opinion amongst journalists about the future of Jamie Vardy. What is clear is that the Leicester No.9 is not about to hang up his boots but it is not certain where he will be plying his trade next season. The chances of Vardy staying with Leicester have increased appreciably now that promotion has been confirmed.

I think it is a no-brainer that Vardy should be offered a new contract. His exceptionally good scoring record this season, including another two on Monday night, confirms he still has something to offer. I think Maresca will want to keep him. The question is will the Leicester talisman want to stay if, as seems likely, he will have to accept less favourable terms in a new contract? The lure of big money in the USA or even Saudi Arabia may be tempting. For what it’s worth, I think that the opportunity for another year in the top-flight with his beloved Leicester will be very difficult for the Foxes legend to turn down.
