Although already relegated at least the Foxes ended their Championship season with a win. Despite the victory, though, this game was in many ways a microcosm of the season with Leicester missing a fair few chances and fortunate not to concede.

In a meaningless match for Leicester the players put in a decent performance but were unable to hold on to the lead. A sparsely populated King Power Stadium appreciated the effort of the players but most City fans can't wait for the season to end.

Relegation to league One will have a severe impact on the Foxes. Financial retrenchment will require a fire sale of players and may, in a worse case scenario, result in the cub going into administration.

Numerous mistakes have been made by Leicester's hierarchy over the past few seasons and these have been accompanied by PSR and player underperformance. This season, player recruitment has been poor again and much quality has disappeared from the squad.

Leicester's failure to beat Hull confirmed their relegation to the third tier of English football. The boos at the end were well deserved.

Leicester lost a must win game against Portsmouth making relegation to League One for the East Midlands side almost certain. It was a scrappy match between two poor teams refereed by a sub-standard official.

Leicester were made to pay for missing a host of first half chances against Swansea. After the away side took the lead in comical fashion, the Foxes failed to respond. With Portsmouth and Oxford winning, City's chances of staying up have receded.

Against the worst team in the Championship, the Foxes could only manage a point and it could have been worse. Luckily, Leicester's relegation rivals all failed to win. It is difficult, though, to see City winning enough games to stay up.

In what many regarded as a must win game for Leicester, they could only manage a point, the Foxes' equaliser coming late on from man of the match Patson Daka, his second of the game. The home side pressed for a winner but it was not to be.

Both Leicester's men and women's teams are in danger of relegation this season. In reality, the fortunes of the two sides of the club are intertwined. It is probably true to say that the very survival of the women's club is at stake.
