Foxes outcast Harry Souttar has taken a definite swipe at his treatment or time at parent club Leicester City. The centre back was surprisingly not fancied as a starter or even a role player by multiple managers in the east Midlands. Nevertheless, Souttar remains a Fox himself and it would be best for all parties if he kept his mouth shut about the King Power club until he is permanently offloaded. And that eventuality is now very likely to occur in January or next summer because, at least, the Australia International is now happily content with his latest side. Not to mention a thinly veiled recent outburst.

This news comes simultaneously to foreseeable disappointment on Filbert Way. The brief dissatisfaction will emerge over an unavoidable omission of a new signing in an important upcoming Premier League match. Which star won't play versus Crystal Palace and why?

Leicester City can't field footballer versus own club without dispensation

Jamie Vardy needs help up front. You wouldn't usually say that about such a prolific footballer. But the one-time England man is slowly ageing, in spite of continued robustness. A second quality centre forward firing on all cylinders is practical for selection.

Patson Daka remains unfit and generally considered an inferior option, certainly at Premier League standard. Tom Cannon is not thought of as ready or even good enough by Steve Cooper. So the ex-Everton prospect has gone on loan to Stoke City.

This is where Odsonne Edouard comes in. The loanee from Crystal Palace is undeniably proven in the English top-flight; there is an inconsistent element alongside his goalscoring, of course. Nonetheless he has a profile that is immediately required in the squad.

Obviously Edouard can't play against his proper club without unforeseeable permission being granted. And, naturally, City meet the Eagles in their next match on Saturday, September 14. The Foxes are desperate for a first win this season.

Some fans won't be aware of that stipulation. Neither will a few of the Blue Army realise that they must wait to see Edouard make his debut for LCFC. The French attacker will probably feature versus the Toffees at the King Power on the Sept. 21. If not, the 26-year-old's debut will almost certainly come on the 24th of that same month against Walsall in the League Cup.

What Harry Souttar said

Souttar is temporarily a Sheffield United player at the moment. Though he has just given a subtle yet potentially rift-causing interview:

"It’s just really great to be playing, to feel like a player again. And to get treated like a proper football player is really nice. I feel really good and feel fit. It helps massively on the pitch when you’re playing week in, week out."
