Watch Buonanotte's great Leicester City goal and why Winks dropped
The Blue Army, and neutral Premier League fans, are welcomed to watch Facundo Buonanotte's great solo Leicester City goal versus Bournemouth. In addition to viewing the exceptional run and finish from the Argentine gem who the Foxes should permanently secure, you can read our match summary and verdict. Not to mention an explanation as to why midfielder Harry Winks was dropped. This LCFC-focused website actually predicted that the former Tottenham Hotspur man would soon be disregarded for fellow Spurs old boy Oliver Skipp. But why was Skipp favoured over Winks?

Foxes of Leicester were, naturally, delighted that Leicester managed to dispatch Bournemouth at King Power Stadium. It was a very important victory for the Leicestershire side indeed. In fact, although early in the season, FoL cannot exactly stress just how crucial attaining the three points was on Saturday.
You see, the progress isn't just that LCFC managed to rise up to the relatively lofty heights of fifteenth-place in the Premier League table. No, not all not. Arguably the main element taken from defeating the Cherries to accelerate required buoyancy is the confidence and belief generated on Filbert Way at the recent weekend.
This Leicester team now know for sure that they can beat opponents and gain advantages which they were not convinced about, in my opinion having watched closely. However, City were ultimately, possibly, outplayed by Andoni Iraola's men in the close contest. Let's hope a few holes are plugged in defence and defensive midfielder.
Maybe Winks being reinstated isn't the worst idea for tougher matches against more competent and threatening big six opponents. Whilst Steve Cooper must find solutions for the odd problem elsewhere in the lineup. The visitors certainly bombarded LCFC goalkeeper Mads Hermansen with plenty of shots to save. The Denmark international was impressive as usual.
Yet it was Facundo Buonanotte who FoL tipped to be an instigator of most things positive for Leicester in 2024/25. Even particularly early on in the Brighton & Hove Albion player's City spell - he looked the real deal. The statistics and influences are now obvious for all to see. His winner was special versus AFCB, as well:
Reason for Harry Winks' Leicester City omission disclosed
Why was 'Winksy' dropped, you ask? Well, basically, Wilfred Ndidi and Skipp were preferred. Read more from Cooper below:
"We hadn’t won for six games so you’re always looking for little solutions. You want to put a plan together. Harry’s a really important player for us and has had a big impact since he’s been here. And I’m sure that will be the case going forward. But we’ve got other players in every position that can have an impact. It’s a good example of being ready. It’s a good example that opportunities will come. That’s the nature of modern football. Sometimes there are changes."
