Marti Cifuentes takes his new Leicester City team back to his old club Queens Park Rangers on Saturday afternoon. The Loftus Road ground in Shepherd's Bush, West London is the venue for tomorrow's important and potentially thrilling encounter. And ahead of the English Football League Championship clash, we have some fitness news from both camps for the two fans bases. Not to mention a few scoreline predictions before the two outfits compete this coming weekend.
So what QPR injury boosts have occurred, how do they strengthen the home team? How is this a blow for the East Midlanders? And what Foxes forecasts have been made as we preview the upcoming fixture?
Queens Park Rangers injury boosts could mean trouble for Leicester City
First of all, Sam Field returns for the Hoops for Sat'. The defensive midfielder is seen as a "key cog" in Julien Stéphan's side. Field has been described as an influential and pivotal performer for the capital club.
Secondly, Harvey Vale is back for QPR. The former Chelsea man plays as an attacking midfielder or as a forward at Loftus Road. Vale may not start the game, yet any added firepower is a concern for Cifuentes' Leicester defence.
Meanwhile at Seagrave, the following updates were made available. Thankfully Aaron Ramsey and Jeremy Monga are "in contention" for City.
Patson Daka is unavailable due to his involvement in the Africa Cup of Nations. Harry Souttar (match fitness), Caleb Okoli (similar) and Boubakary Soumare (rehabilitation in gym) won't feature.
The72 forecast Foxes to lose - but Foxes of Leicester don't
A couple of writers over at The72 have negative expectations for the King Power outfit. And you can't really blame them in spite of City's improving form.
"I think we’ll get a close game, but it could be an unhappy reunion for Cifuentes."
3-2 and 2-1 are their scores in QPR's favour. Whereas I expect Leicester to reverse that prospective result.
