Leicester City will open August with a friendly back on home turf after a training camp out in Spain put Russell Martin's camp through their paces.
Genoa will be the Foxes' opponents at the King Power, before the main season then gets underway with an EFL Cup tie versus Northampton, which also takes place on their own soil.
Leicester fans will be excited about the League One season ahead, in one regard, as the next generation coming through the ranks at the one-time Premier League champions have seriously impressed in pre-season.
Indeed, Louis Page would even score directly from a corner against Malaga, as the 18-year-old demands he is considered for more first team minutes in the third tier.
But, there will also be a slight panic among the masses that only two summer signings have been sealed so far, leaving Martin with a real lack of strikers, as August hits the calendar very soon.
The 40-year-old was certainly firm with his thoughts on Leicester's inaction in the transfer market, after the dust had settled on the lively 3-3 draw with Malaga in Marbella.
Martin's comments about transfers
Of course, picking up the likes of Conor Chaplin and Alex McCarthy already have been standout bits of business, with both players adding lots of experience to a youth-centric squad.
But, more transfers are desperately needed, and Martin didn't exactly censor himself when discussing what positions need more reinforcements, when chatting in the Marbella humidity.
He admitted that boosting the numbers up top is a big priority, by honestly stating: "The topline, both wide positions and a number nine, I think it’s really clear.
“We have really good competition for places in the back four and midfield, we’ve got a lot of good football players. So the top line right now, we need to strengthen that and add to that and we will, but it has to be the right ones."
Emphasising that it has to be the "right" additions, instead of rushing into several deals, it will be intriguing to see when new signings are confirmed, with Martin also noting that 'one or two’ changes could occur within his squad by the time Genoa come to town.
There does need to be a hurry on the transfer front, with the new League One season around two weeks or so from kicking off.
Who could come in?
There haven't been plentiful transfer rumours, either, for Leicester fans to get their teeth sunk into.
Indeed, it has gone a bit cold when it comes to the Foxes hunting down a striker, since the deal for Danny Ings fell through, but there have been some murmurs that Mason Burstow is on the Leicester radar, as a possible striker addition.
Scoring 12 goals last season for Bolton Wanderers, as they sealed League One promotion via the dramatic playoff route, the hope will be that lightning can strike twice if the Hull City forward were to move to Leicestershire this summer, as another promotion is added to his fledgling CV.
Other rumours have suggested that Ryan One and Tommy Watson were on the shopping list, as two raw youngsters from Sheffield United and Brighton and Hove Albion, with Watson bolstering the Foxes camp in the wide positions to fulfill Martin's wishes.
It promises to be a very hectic couple of weeks to come on the transfer front at the King Power, with Martin wanting to get the bulk of his business done before the League One opener versus Notts County, you imagine.
