Leicester City Football Club host Stoke City FC on Saturday afternoon for a very interesting Championship clash. Even if the game is not as entertaining as it may have been, the outcome will be fascinating regardless. Form is generally uneven for both sides at present, in spite of the international hiatus. Although, the Potters are enjoying a superior and more stable season than the Foxes so far. But Stoke do come into the fixture having lost 1-0 to Leicester's Midlands rivals Coventry.

Incidentally, the Sky Blues are top of England's second division at the moment. Anyway, LCFC shouldn't be too intimidated of this weekend's opponents. The other City did win last time out, albeit against struggling Norwich City. Only six points separates Leicester and Stoke; the home squad is just as good. Over the years, the two teams have met on 104 occasions for competitive contests. The King Power outfit are just ahead with 36 victories in comparison to 33 losses.

That's some statistics and history out of the way. Now let's have a look at any relevant fitness updates.

Stoke star Viktor Johansson could be unavailable for Leicester City match which gives Foxes stimulus

Johansson is arguably one goalkeeper that got away from the Foxes. The 27-year-old was once a trainee on Filbert Way. He was previously the development squad’s 'first-choice' stopper, but was released in June 2020.

The Swede went on to make his name at Rotherham; he's now performing brilliantly with the Staffordshire club. Johansson has also been described as, in seemingly complimentary fashion, a 'crazy as well as fearless' footballer.

Graham Potter, who was recently appointed Sweden manager, has made the Potter his country's No.1. Yet an injury issue might potentially rule Johansson out of the Leicester game. Which is an obvious boost for LCFC.

The former Millers man was apparently limping prior to the Slovenia meeting and therefore omitted:

"The 27-year-old is now returning to the Potteries hoping to be passed fit to play against Leicester on Saturday."
