The once-teeming reservoir of international talent at Leicester City has, in the previous couple of years, undergone a conspicuous and sobering decrease. Where once the corridors of Seagrave were a bustling thoroughfare for elite global representatives, the current exodus feels like a mere trickle. A testament to a squad whose collective class has been diluted by the harsh, unforgiving gravity of the EFL Championship, as well as their own shortcomings.

This dwindling contingent is the inevitable byproduct of a decline in quality; the 'bad apples' within the roster have rotted the barrel to such an extent that a comprehensive summer evisceration appears not merely desirable - but an existential necessity! Regardless of the monetary constraints that loom like a spectral presence over LCFC ledger, the current ensemble (as largely uninspiring as they may be) possesses sufficient residual craft to ensure survival in the second tier. Even if the unlikable nature of the collective continues to alienate the Filbert Way faithful.

Yet, despite this atmospheric malaise, eleven figures have departed to fly their respective flags. Leading the temporary departure is the prolific Jordan James; joining the Wales camp to face Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In the heart of midfield, Hamza Choudhury embarks on a historic journey with Bangladesh Vietnam and Singapore. While Bobby De Cordova-Reid represents Jamaica against New Caledonia.

The Ghanaian duo of Abdul Fatawu and Jordan Ayew set their sights on fixtures against Germany and Austria. Meanwhile Patson Daka spearheads the Zambian attack against Argentina.

On the youth front, Ben Nelson joins the England U21s for a double-header against the Andorra, followed by Moldova. Bade Aluko is amongst the U20s' roster.

Divine Mukasa was selected for the Three Lions' U19s. The trio of Louis Page, Jeremy Monga and late call-up Lorenz Hutchinson join the U18s. Hugo De Lisle is an Eng U17.
