The Athletic reporter who focuses on Leicester City Football Club, Rob Tanner, has this week beautifully written an exposé article which finally informs us of what is happening on Filbert Way. Sports fans can generally put a lot of faith into this outlet; Tanner's been a Foxes news stalwart for well over a decade. And he has, interestingly, explained why King Power bosses might perhaps not appoint Danny Rohl or Sean Dyche as the respective new LCFC head coach. That's if money is even available to rid themselves of current manager Ruud van Nistelrooy. So, what's the journalist been saying about Leicester?

Ruud van Nistelrooy expected to be sacked?

Tanner revealed that the bulk of the Leicester playing squad should return by the end of the current month (June). Fascinatingly, regarding van Nistelrooy's fate, the reporter also suggested City's hierarchy could be waiting for the new financial year to begin.

That way the club could technically sack the Dutchman in a different term. Which in turn eases Profit and Sustainability worries. A smart move. Yet the LCFC players and van Nistelrooy remain in limbo with friendlies under three weeks away.

The Athletic explain why Leicester City won't appoint Sheffield Wednesday boss Danny Rohl or former Burnley and Everton man Sean Dyche

Should van Nistelrooy go, then City require an ideal candidate due to previously mentioned funding problems or restrictions. Tanner's proposal for chairman 'Khun Top' Srivaddhanaprabha is an 'up-and-coming, malleable and cheap' candidate for obvious reasons.

Meanwhile the writer has thrown cold water over the possibility of either Sean Dyche or Danny Rohl joining the Foxes. Again, financial troubles are cited.

"Sheffield Wednesday’s Danny Rohl has been consistently linked, but would be very expensive to prise out of his contract. Sean Dyche has also been mooted and would be free, although his wage demands would be high. "

Dyche's wages would reportedly be rather high, which definitely affects potential Leicester interest. While paying to cancel Rohl's Owls contract may be too expensive for LCFC as well.
