Leicester City is in danger of falling away from the rest of their relegation rivals, if they don't pick up some monumental Championship results sooner, rather than later.
Indeed, last weekend, the Foxes were comfortably beaten 3-1 at the hands of Queens Park Rangers, while Oxford United and West Bromwich Albion - in the spaces directly above the East Midlands titans in the relegation reckoning - collected an invaluable draw and win.
The defence must be tighter on their travels to Watford, with the R's sucker-punching the lowly hosts with three quickfire goals, to resign Gary Rowett's men to their 16th defeat of the gruelling season.
With 60 strikes now given up, which means bottom-of-the-table Sheffield Wednesday is the only team in the entire division who have leaked more, it's clear a shake-up defensively might well do the trick versus the Hornets.
Unfortunately, Rowett won't be able to call upon the likes of Jannick Vestergaard, Harry Souttar or Asmir Begovic, as the defensive trio remain out through injury, meaning shaky Foxes stopper Jakub Stolarczyk will likely have to start again on the road.
Rowett could have a different dice roll to go with at the back, despite this litany of injuries, as an experienced January signing potentially gains his first ever start of the Rowett reign.
Rowett could throw centre-back veteran in against Hornets
Leicester could well need a more seasoned head at the back to try and steer the side to safety, with the likes of Robert Huth and Wes Morgan in the past, going down as experienced, no-nonsense titans in defence.
Boasting 177 appearances in the Premier League, Jamaal Lascelles certainly slips into this veteran bracket well, and with Leicester's performance defensively marred by issues galore against QPR, it might be time for Rowett to shove the injury-prone 32-year-old into the first team spotlight.
The Derby-born centre-back did impress back in February when winning a valiant seven tackles and duels in a slim 2-1 defeat at Birmingham City, but he hasn't really been given a sniff since Rowett has taken over.
Judging by the calm manager's comments as of late, however, he could be prepared to gamble with his selection in the heart of defence, when travelling to Watford.

He said, when speaking about the need to eradicate mistakes from their overall game: "I have to make decisions around experience of this position and what I think the game requires. Jamaal has got huge experience.
“He was one I was tempted to play a few games ago, but I always try to be fair and I felt the performances were good. We’d all agree on the back of Ipswich and Bristol City that people performed really well and so people deserved to play.
“I don’t think just because we’ve lost a game we start selection tombola and think we’ve got to change loads. A lot of elements of the performance were decent.
“But as someone with that experience, a different type of voice, and who will help people alongside him, of course someone like Jamaal comes into contention.”
Rowett won't want to risk his overall squad's harmony by going overboard with his starting XI selection at Vicarage Road.
But, with the under pressure boss clearly a big admirer of Lascelles, don't be surprised to see the former Magpies man come in, to try and shut-out Watford, on the way to a rare away win potentially being clinched.
