Leicester City again went from winning to losing in dramatically inconsistent and concerning fashion against Southampton at St Mary's Stadium on Tuesday. The Foxes' manager, Marti Cifuentes, had seen supposed pressure from LCFC ownership The King Power International Group diminish following guiding his men to two successive victories. The Saints loss has almost certainly put the Catalonian right back into the Leicestershire spotlight.

Furthermore, the latest from King Power Stadium suggests that the hierarchy are monitoring the former Queens Park Rangers head coach closely once more. As a matter of fact, the sack threat is said to loom for Cifuentes. What's being claimed about the East Midlanders and their gaffer? And what do we make of it all? Let's get to it.

Dead man walking?

I was previously of the stance that Cifuentes deserved, or should simply be given, more time at Leicester. Although, having just mulled the situation over in my head while writing the introduction - I am not so sure anymore.

Yes, the latest struggling team boss was not given the capabilities or quality that he needs to succeed in my opinion. But how long will the powers-that-be allow the Foxes to slide closer down the Championship table - or into the relegation zone?!

Even if it is chairman Aiyawatt (Khun Top) Srivaddhanaprabha's fault, along with Jon Rudkin (director of football) being to blame, they will actually demand a tune even out of this fairly average City squad. I would suspect that Cifuentes' time is running out; defeat to Sheffield United at home could be fatal.

Rumours from Filbert Way suggest Leicester City manager Marti Cifuentes again facing dismissal, yet reporting may not be accurate

Football Insider have made another claim about LCFC. They report that the Southampton outcome was not expected; it renewed worry on Filbert Way. Cifuentes could apparently soon find himself out of a job at this rate:

"Marti Cifuentes facing Leicester City sack after new blow – ‘Nobody expected this’"
