When any person comes into a different job, they aim to stamp their style and authority on the role. Whether that is a conscious manoeuvre or not, things alter with freshness. And that isn't always the best method as Leicester City fans understand all too well.
What did Claudio Ranieri do when he arrived at City? That's correct: ironically, the 'Tinkerman' didn't tinker too much with a team already beginning to work well together. When the Italian realised he had a proper squad on his hands, he allowed his players to do their thing.
However, and on the contrary, if something is broken - obviously it requires resolving. The present Foxes squad is contrasting in that respect. We unfortunately have many overpaid, overrated and underperforming personnel. Hopefully some of that deadwood will soon be discarded. That's if City bosses ever get their collective act together again!
In addition to that element, a very talented Fox or two will be sold to satisfy the books and Premier League regulations. This will leave a minority core of experience, aided by fringe footballers and at least one of the brightest prospects in England at the moment. But Jeremy Monga actually has a supporting cast of excellent young Leicester teammates who could be invaluable for 2025/26.
These are the young Leicester City stars who will most likely benefit from prospective new manager Marti Cifuentes' arrival at King Power Stadium
Once the chosen next LCFC manager actually arrives on Filbert Way (supposedly Marti Cifuentes) expect wholesale changes everywhere. Though you could see far more of the aforementioned Monga as well; the Spanish gaffer regularly relies on youth.
"What I do like about him [Cifuentes], and what he proved at QPR — I know he didn’t have much choice — he wasn’t afraid of playing his younger players, giving them the opportunity."Lee Hendrie
Two other up-and-coming Foxes also received English top flight debuts last season too: Jake Evans and Bade Aluko. The duo may well be included in Cifuentes' plans.
"I think that’s where we’ve seen QPR start to lift, start to go again, because he gave a lot of belief in the youngsters."Hendrie, via FLW
During preseason and prior, Louis Page has shown himself to be extremely promising, as has Jayden Joseph. While slightly elder trio Ben Nelson, Wanya Marcal and Silko Thomas have also caught the offseason eye.
