This Leicester transfer target apparently won't be signing in January

With the New Year approximately a week and a half away, talk of signings is ramping up significantly at King Power Stadium. The plan at Leicester City Football Club is to spend no money, of course. Well, the owners don't have any cash for a start; restrictions would have probably stopped any literal spending anyway.

City's The King Power International Group ownership are said to be in financial crisis, which has drastically impacted the LCFC side over a three year period or so. In addition to Aiyawatt (Khun Top) Srivaddhanaprabha's seemingly crumbling empire, Profit and Sustainability rules are preventing the disorganised East Midlands outfit from purchasing players as well. What a mess.

You can therefore understand exactly why Leicester's Blue Army fan base are incensed by the powers-that-be on Filbert Way. Furthermore, staff (including the richer playing squad and management) were not paid their monthly wages before Christmas, as is customary in LE2. So we are beyond the problematic zone and fully into crisis if you ask me.

Loss to Queens Park Rangers at Loftus Road in embarrassing fashion this weekend compounded issues and meant City head coach Marti Cifuentes was immediately back under pressure. The fact that the awful defeat was at the hands of his former employers would leave a better taste, I'm sure.

Yet if you thought all that was a lot, it is claimed that the Foxes won't be acquiring a rated goalkeeper on loan either.

Leicester City transfer target Anthony Patterson of Sunderland unlikely to be January signing

Supposed target Patterson isn't needed in Leicestershire, according to a 'bemused' City boss. Cifuentes was asked about the footballer, but 'poured cold water' on any suggestion that LCFC will pounce for the Black Cats' 'keeper.

Moreover, the Catalonian is more than content with No.1 stopper Jakub Stolarczyk. Not to mention the two backups:

"When reports of interest in Patterson were put to Cifuentes, the manager furrowed his brow and replied: ā€œI’m very happy with my three goalkeepers. Extremely happy.ā€"
