Most if not all of Leicester City's players are currently linked with respective exits from Leicestershire. In fact, I can only think of one or two LCFC stars who don't have rumoured interest. Like winger Abdul Fatawu; possibly just because he's injured. Nevertheless, the East Midlands outfit is said to be at risk of losing many of their standout personnel due to it's second division status and looming Profit and Sustainability punishments.

The City fan base are consequently worried over just exactly who will leave King Power Stadium during the offseason. In fact, those worries are compounded by the hint that the Foxes may struggle to replace them for reported and aforementioned funding issues, along with apparent rule breaking reasons. This weekend, a related transfer surprise emerged in the media. Leicester are ostensibly open to selling an England-capped player.

You would definitely be excused for incorrectly assuming this is somebody who was vital to the squad. Here at Foxes of Leicester, we have been wondering whether the Fox in question is as good of an influence as has been claimed. He certainly wants camera and airtime and has cultivated the image of a helpful and wise old pro. But performances massively dipped in the Premier League. Will Conor Coady be justifiably sold to Rangers?

Conor Coady transfer rumour discussed as Leicester City potentially usher in required new era at King Power Stadium

Coady was once a great presence in defence in the EPL. Though his impact at Leicester was ineffective last season; as was so many of his teammates'. I won't dwell on his Copenhagen antics or pushing to rejoin Wolverhampton Wanderers in City's dark times.

The former Wolves man was needed in the back line at one time. On the contrary, I'd now argue that LCFC should explore signing options. Promoting Ben Nelson feels natural at the moment too. Discarding Coady's wages is another solid reason. Speculation is detailed below:

"Rangers have been given encouragement in their efforts to sign Conor Coady as Leicester City are believed to be open to his sale."
