We have two transfer rumours for you today. And the hypothetical outcome of those sales would be welcomed for a former Leicester City loanee's career. Will centre backs Wout Faes and Conor Coady both respectively leave the Foxes during the offseason? If so, an LCFC academy graduate's path to the first team, possibly as a starter, would be clear.
According to many reports from outlets of varying degrees of quality, Leicester will sell at least two defenders this summer. Apart from one or two Foxes, the back line had a generally awful campaign bringing them to an embarrassing relegation. So nobody in the Blue Army will shed a tear if a few are sold.
As Premier League centre back partnerships go, last season's efforts from Wout Faes and Conor Coady were up there with the worst. The duo looked uncultured, laboured, lazy at times - and thoroughly out of their depth. I'd lay the lion's share of that criticism at the Belgian's door.
Yet Coady got away with a lot of poor performances and ill-advised behaviour (reportedly wanting to leave in January and the Copenhagen debacle) whilst he's been on Filbert Way. The St Helens-born Fox was almost just as bad! If it wasn't for the equally unsatisfactory Victor Kristiansen and James Justin, the former Wolverhampton Wanderers man would have gotten more stick.

While Kristiansen has been linked with a departure, separate speculation on Coady and Faes appears more serious. The latter has supposedly been warned that he could be axed from the Belgium international squad if he remains with a tier two side.
"Chelsea are reportedly interested in Leicester City defender Ben Nelson as the summer transfer window nears.Football League World
That’s according to the Telegraph journalist John Percy, who revealed that Blues boss Enzo Maresca, formerly of Leicester himself, is a “huge admirer”."
Meanwhile the Englishman is in talks with Scottish Premiership outfit Rangers. Should both centre halves go, the impressive Ben Nelson could be promoted. The 21-year-old impressed on loan at Oxford United last season. He's been a Fox since age nine.
