Today (Thursday, April 24, 2025) was a bad day. Leicester City's outstanding striker Jamie Vardy has announced he will exit the East Midlands club at the end of the current campaign. A sad day, indeed. Although, we've taken the opportunity to look at his best moments, remember the good times and look forward instead of being overly negative or upset.

However, talk will now switch to where the standout and iconised Fox will play next. Of course, Vardy confirmed that he is not yet retiring from netting goals and winding up hostile and belligerent opposition supporters. So, what destination awaits the ex-England international? And, more importantly, which teams would the heroic No.9 not consider joining for various reasons?

Jamie Vardy's likely subsequent destination

Vardy is unlikely to join any team that faces or may even compete against the Foxes. He has said as much himself over the years. As a LCFC fan, you've got to appreciate and respect that stance. Even neutral supporters would surely admire the man's standpoint there.

Whether or not JV9 upholds that sentiment is another matter. Naturally, Vards has been ultra loyal to City over the years and his undying loyalty when no longer a Fox is probable. Or even forseeable!

Therefore supposedly interested parties like Wrexham and West Ham United will probably not be able to secure the veteran hitman's services, I suspect. That's because Vards will plausibly play abroad; America is the expected port of call for the Vardys.

Jeremy Monga movement?

The City player who may be next out of the King Power door is Jeremy Monga. The superstar starlet might be on the move this summer, if we trust reports.

Superclub Manchester City are monitoring the youthful Foxes prospect. While Liverpool are also now apparently keen on the exciting teenage winger.

"Liverpool’s well-documented focus on elite youth recruitment shows no sign of slowing down, as the club now sets its sights on securing the services of Leicester City’s prodigious winger, Jeremy Monga"
