Join us in watching all three Leicester City goals and the entire highlights from the Foxes' first friendly of preseason 2025/26. The East Midlands side defeated fairly close League One outfit Peterborough United at Seagrave Training Centre. We analyse some players and play, while giving our thoughts on Andy King's tenure as LCFC's makeshift manager in the absence of a permanent head coach.
Meanwhile, a young Fox or two, or three, or four or more stood out on the day. And that includes 16-year-old breakout star Louis Page emerging into the Leicester limelight. Which of them scored against the Posh? And who impressed for the dysfunctional King Power team with a host of promising prospects?
Andy King names two Foxes lineups for each half of football
There was a starting XI and a second starting team today. I don't think you can separate the two lineups with respect to standing within the group. It was more about technical analysis, sharpening match fitness, as well as creating suitable sides to face Peterborough.
We won't know King's favourites nor the personnel he discards for a while yet. When we get further into the offseason schedule, he (or a new gaffer, if and when they are eventually appointed) shall inevitably chose an XI to play the majority of more testing friendly encounters.
Watch all three Leicester City goals as 16-year-old star Louis Page emerges
City's first goal was scored by Louis Page; a fast and direct attacking midfielder. Jeremy Monga's excellent dribble was taken on by Bade Aluko who fed the goalscorer. Keep an eye on Page!
James Justin was to thank for Page's second finish vs PUFC. Though the latter found the corner neatly with his instep. Silko Thomas also curled a beauty into the top corner; Jayden Joseph got that assist. Wanya Marcal was outstanding too.
