One noticeable celebrity Leicester City fan was in attendance at St. Mary's Stadium to see the Foxes come from behind to secure a marvellous win for the east Midlands team. The television star even surprisingly joined in with a cheeky chant while Steve Cooper's LCFC side stunned in victory against Southampton on Saturday afternoon. Who is this notable Leicester man, and what was he singing along to?

Meanwhile Match of the Day host and similarly famous City supporter Gary Lineker, along with pundit Alan Shearer, gave their respective verdicts on the King Power club's fight for all three points on the south Coast. Lineker was shocked and disappointed with one element of the BBC TV show's coverage, as well as being delighted with the outcome of the fixture. Not to mention Shearer pointing out something the Leicestershire outfit might perhaps have gotten away with. But what did the retired footballers have to say about the proceedings exactly?

Alan Shearer and Gary Lineker on Leicester City's win at Southampton

Thanks to goals from loanee attacker Facundo Buonanotte, the legend that is striker Jamie Vardy and new signing Jordan Ayew, Leicester were victorious versus Russell Martin's floundering Saints this weekend. But it could have been oh so different for Cooper and his men.

Having fallen two-nil behind during the first half, City had to battle with all their strength versus one of their relegation rivals. Lineker, who is from the city and a former LCFC player himself, was very 'happy' with the result. The problem he had was that he believed the Foxes should have led the schedule on his own programme. Have a word, Gary!

Elsewhere on the evening, Shearer pointed to referee Anthony Taylor's supposedly critical mistake. The incident in question was Ayew apparently pulling Paul Onuachu's shirt:

"Absolutely, two minutes before that, Ayew on Onuachu. I mean the word we're hearing is Anthony Taylor said he saw the holding but it was with no consequence. It was deemed he's not impacted play.

Just have a look how long Ayew has got hold of him for. He's got hold of him for about five seconds, which means he has to be impacting play. So there has to be a consequence because if he's not holding him, there's every chance he's going to challenge for that ball. If he hasn't got hold of him, he's going to go and try and get on the end of that, he may even get there before the goalkeeper. I think that's a really poor decision, both from the referee and VAR.

Gary Lineker agreed: 'Even as a Leicester fan, I would say that as well.'"

Foxes celebrity sings in stands

Coronation Street household name Roy Cropper, also know as David Neilson, is a Fox. If you didn't know, now you do! In fact, he is respected in the wider LCFC family, too.

The Blue Army may recall seeming him running alongside club Ambassador Alan Birchenall in their annual charity event at the King Power. They raise awareness and funds for Prostate cancer in memory of Leicester City icon Keith Weller.

The 'Street' actor is often spotted among the faithful watching and cheering on his beloved team. And the latest match was no different, as you can read below:

"...a spirited fightback by the Foxes in the second half saw them overcome the two goal deficit to win 3-2. That saw Leicester's supporters break into a rude song. They sang in unison: 'Two nil up and you f***** it up.'

A beaming Neilson was spotted on camera joining in on the song and clapping."
