Leicester City will undoubtedly sell some star players over the course of this summer. But what were the most expensive Foxes transfers ever?

Right now

Sadly for all concerned with Leicester City Football Club, the East Midlanders are technically being forced to sell some of their utmost talent this summer. The main two candidates you'll hear named in that respect are attacking midfielder Bilal El Khannouss and goalkeeper Mads Hermansen, who's tipped for the top. Unfortunately it is being claimed that Stephy Mavididi might be on the outgoing list too.

Obviously the City hierarchy will commission a few other sales as well. Less rated players such as Conor Coady, Caleb Okoli and Victor Kristiansen may exit in that regard. Either way the King Power club are set to sell a few stars and fringe men. And that prediction led us to wonder about Leicester's regular relinquishing of premium footballers. Which LCFC transfers make up the most expensive Foxes sales ever? One or two fees will likely surprise readers.

Leicester City must sell stars again - so which transfers were the most expensive Foxes exits of all-time?

First of all, at No.10 we reportedly have Ahmed Musa. The forgotten and pretty rotten LCFC performer went to Al-Nassr back in 2018 for €16.5million.

"Al-Nassr failed to pay the Premier league side the money they owe them over Musa’s transfer. The Nigerian was signed in a €16.50m deal."

Leicester Academy product Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall made City a cool €35.4m profit from Chelsea last year.

Amazingly, N'Golo Kante only cost the Blues €35.8m in 2016. That was due to a contract stipulation error.

CFC also paid a ridiculous €37.9m for Danny Drinkwater a year later. At six on the list, we have another Foxes graduate. Newcastle United shelled out €44m for Harvey Barnes ahead of 2023/24.

James Maddison (whose dreams LCFC made come true) to Tottenham Hotspur in 2023 ran up €46.3m. Chelsea were bamboozled again in 2020 for paying an unbelievable €50.2m for Ben Chilwell of all overrated people. That's my favourite Foxes grift!

Riyad Mahrez (a fair €67.8m) to Manchester City, Wesley Fofana switching to Chels' (€80.4m) and Manchester United acquiring Harry Maguire for €87m round us off expensively. Therefore hope remains that Leicester can con some more credulous big six clubs.
