It's been a whirlwind 24 hours up in Scotland. To be more precise, it is the lively Glasgow that has seen change over the previous day. Former Leicester City head coach Brendan Rodgers, who oversaw the East Midlands team's maiden FA Cup triumph along with European football re-entry, has left Celtic. As a matter of fact, the one-time Liverpool manager reportedly wasn't pushed out of this job. Evidently, the Northern Irishman resigned from his position at Celtic Park.

This footballing development north of the border naturally caught the attention of Leicester's Blue Army fan base. Allow me to fill you in. At the moment, the latest LCFC gaffer is under increasing pressure. The strangest aspects about Marti Cifuentes being under the spotlight are the fact that City were expected to be triumphant in the Championship on the third successive occasion they entered the competition. In addition to that element, Cifuentes' reputation on Filbert Way and results of late took a severe hammering in the space of only one week.

Nevertheless, at this website we thank and applaud Rodgers for what he achieved in LE2. However, the Leicester supporters will never forget how stubborn and oddly the former Swansea City boss's tenure ended. For that reason, among a few more I will illustrate, I believe the 52-year-old should not be rehired at LCFC.

Brendan Rodgers likely wouldn't consider English Football League Championship management and Leicester City ought to offer Marti Cifuentes more time

First of all, many Hoops supporters criticised Rodgers for leaving abruptly again: he did so for the Foxes job originally too. He is also accused of departing because Hearts are in front.

But Foxes of Leicester recall things like his ridiculous zonal marking. Selecting players who'd partially given up to protect a lucrative transfer, like Ben Chilwell.

Not to mention some of the awful performances and obstinacy over his failing methods. Ultimately, The Athletic stated that LCFC bosses 'wanted more' from Rodgers. I'm not sure City fans want more of Rodgers.

Besides, Bhoys majority shareholder Dermot Desmond labelled Rodgers "devisive". So nothing's seemingly changed!

Though if the unthinkable occurred: Rodgers was approached and accepted, I'd imagine he could help us escape tier two. LCFC would obviously have to commit further investment, along with making certain unkeepable promises. I would say this: at least Cifuentes' methodology is flexible and adaptable.

Financially, a rehire doesn't make sense either. If you remember, Celtic were paid £9million in compensation when the Leicestershire side appointed Rodgers. It is also said here that we gave him a payoff of up to £10m. We could do with some of that back now!
