Midfielders

Vincente Iborra – 7/10

Gone are the days of the over-the -top Danny Drinkwater football, the ex Sevilla man is Leicester’s heartbeat in midfield. His passes crisp, his work rate tiresome and is becoming a key Leicester City player.

Wilfred N’didi – 7/10

Business as usual for the combative midfielder. Rampages through the midfield allowing Iborra space to dictate the play.

Riyad Mahrez – 8/10

It is as though someone has told Mahrez he can play football. The Algerian has returned to his best, his 25-yard equaliser proved to be the defining moment.

Claude Puel get your best suit on, you have got some seducing to be getting on with.

Marc Albrighton- 7.5/10

Got himself an assist with a lovely cushioned touch into Gray for the second and worked himself into the ground. His versatility makes him a valuable player for the Foxes.

Demarai Gray – 8/10

Took his goal exquisitely and looks as though Puel is adding that to the 21-year-old’s game.   Alongside Mahrez, he tore the Newcastle defence apart and was a constant threat throughout.
