Twitter’s biting community have some words for Leicester City and Claude Puel after Saturday’s 4-2 loss. There are also the considered and pragmatist tweets to peruse:
Oh how the Blue Army longed for the return of the Premier League; unfortunately for Leicester City, Bournemouth did their homework. Ironically the Cherries’ fast break countered the new Claude Puel-possession strategy. Ultimately the Foxes lost 4-2 whilst producing their worst performance of the season.
Leicester City supporter Christopher enjoyed the beach, probably more than he did 88 minutes of the match.
Should Caglar Soyuncu get his debut and a start for #LCFC today at Bournemouth?
— Foxes of Leicester (@FoxesofLCFC) September 15, 2018
He's been regularly impressive for Turkey and Harry Maguire needs a consistent defensive partner, although, perhaps a sub appearance is safer 🤔 #BouLei
Pre-game, Foxes of Leicester asked the question: should Caglar Soyuncu play versus Bournemouth? Sadly the memo did not reach Puel; he stuck with the completely out of his depth, Wes Morgan.

The comments on Twitter in response to another Morgan start were prophetically pessimistic. Yes, Ricardo Pereira proved he is as inept as Daniel Amartey at right-back, along with the exhausted Harry Maguire’s very off game – but Morgan is routinely bad. Time’s up.
“An unwanted assortment of international friendlies now back in the aphotic wilderness, that familiar frisson of Leicester City-related excitement/disappointment can be the cynosure once again”. @HarnersSportsFS is back with his preview. #BOULEIhttps://t.co/ZCmN56oKNI
— Foxes of Leicester (@FoxesofLCFC) September 15, 2018
Sadly, the eloquently put excitement @HarnerSportsFS anticipated evaporated, as fast as Leicester faltered early.
Maguire might be having a bad game, but Ricardo is having a stinker defensively. Penny for Danny Simpson's thoughts! #LCFC
— Rob Tanner (@RobTannerLCFC) September 15, 2018
Will Puel turn to Danny Simpson and bring him back from club exile? There seems no better alternative in a defensive-four. Which is why I would play three-at-the-back as soon as possible: Maguire, Jonny Evans and Caglar Soyuncu.
On the positive, Maddison and Vardy are linking up superbly at times. #LCFC
— Rob Tanner (@RobTannerLCFC) September 15, 2018
Maddison is now Leicester City’s nucleus.
Leicester City could have scored a few yeah. Although, Bournemouth were good for a two-goal victory. Difficult as it is to admit.
A lot of things to work on for next week. We will work hard to improve. 💙🦊 #LCFC
— Harry Maguire (@HarryMaguire93) September 15, 2018
Maguire quickly followed his initial tweet with this promise.
This will take some explaining 😳... #LCFC
— Arlo White (@arlowhite) September 15, 2018
To have a stab at explaining: Leicester City were killed on the fast break, easily, due to a high line for a relatively slow partnership at centre-back.
One positive about three-hour drive is that I can turn off Twitter.

My thoughts, fwiw.
- Puel must sort out #LCFC defence. Quickly. That was abysmal.
- Decent going forward.
- Soft pen.
- Maguire lucky not to be sent off.
- Morgan unlucky to be sent off.
- Pereira must defend.
Morgan was not unlucky to be sent off, a slight altered position from two defenders would mean his first two awkward tackles become stamp-like challenges. Either were dismissals if the Bournemouth players did not pull out of the tackles.
This is spot on. The amount of balls we put into the box for the opposition's central defenders to head clear is unbelievable, need a big target man like Slimani or Ulloa! Oh wait they've been let go 🙄 #lcfc https://t.co/8vjqeChoU8

There is no way to disagree with the above tweet.
For me that's the final chapter for Wes Morgan as a starter at #LCFC.
— Foxes of Leicester (@FoxesofLCFC) September 15, 2018
It's been a LONG time coming (nearly two years tbh). Now a fresh chapter begins with Soyuncu or possibly Evans.
Captain of the champions, thanks for your service, a club legend, but time to be replaced now.
Foxes of Leicester site co-expert @tb7fox with the candid view.
Well that's probably that, then. Haven't even played terribly, but lucky to still have 10 men on the pitch and arguably should have had a penalty against us too. Just too easy to counter against. #lcfc
— Joe Brewin (@Joe_Brewin_) September 15, 2018
The Foxes defence was terrible, Mr Brewin. However, the forwards were not as bad, with the exception of Demarai Gray.

Geoff Peters’ employers went one step further and asked their followers the slightly premature question: should Leicester City’s owners terminate Claude Puel’s contract?
Luckily, parody account Napueleon was on hand to explain further the process of gradual improvement to Mr Peters.
Agreed.
A humourous way to applaud the former Norwich man.

An echo of goal cheers.
Well, that rounds up the most interesting #lcfc/#boulei tweets following the game. Leicester face Huddersfield Town on Saturday.
