Leicester City qualified for the Fourth Round of the League Cup on Tuesday. A dramatic Penalty shootout saw Kasper Schmeichel understudy, Danny Ward, become the hero of the night with some great saves. Here are the best  player, club and journalist tweets:

Leicester City are through to the next round of the Carabao Cup following a 0-0; then directly into intense penalties. Goalkeeper Danny Ward was impressive, saving three Wolverhampton Wanderers spot-kicks. Now, it’s time for the best of #LCFC Twitter reactions.

Harry Maguire was certainly excited and positive after lcfc.com posted the starting lineup on Twitter; unfortunately, not all agreed.

First-half statistics from BBC Sport: Leicester City had more shots, but well-aimed shots were equal. Blocks were 2-1 in favour of the Foxes. Incredibly, Puel’s team had an embarrassing 33% possession.

Second-half, Leicester City ‘knocked on Wolverhampton’s door’ a few times, but Wolves kept the Foxes out. Subsequently, the game ended 0-0, going straight to penalties. Where Kelechi Iheanacho scored the deciding spot-kick and Danny Ward showed his pedigree in-goal.

We chose the most exciting, biting and interesting #WolLei tweets to showcase:

Thorough stat-man, Jordan Blackwell, with a fascinating fact from the Leicester Mercury.

Sadly, Demarai Gray went off with a horrid looking ankle injury, after an innocuous seeming innocent tangle. Thankfully, it is apparently not a break: weeks as opposed to months on the sideline is the prognosis.

‘Madders’ thanks ‘Warden’ for his heroics.

‘Wardy’ also received a message of gratitude from ‘Wilf’.

“Hero” status for Ward.

Covering all bases.

The Top Flight rounds up all the action with a stunning graphic.

Brilliant from Leicester City’s official Twitter account.

Man-of-the-moment Ward chips in.

It was especially heartwarming to see Schmeichel appreciate and congratulate his rival for the goalkeeping jersey.

More well wishes for Gray, this time from Kelechi Iheanacho.

A brave statement from Hamza Choudhury, you’ll get another chance, mate – and the odds are you’ll put it away!

Seeing Christian Fuchs back involved was good too.

Vicente Iborra looked as cultured as ever in the centre of midfield.

Confirmation that Gray’s problem is not as severe as thought.

Well done to Frank Lampard’s Derby at Manchester United, too.

Leicester City discover their Fourth Round opponents soon.

The best Tweet from the night before the match; absolutely nothing to do with Leicester City v Wolves, but one of the finest midfielders to grace the King Power Stadium pitch. The ‘great escape’ began the champions’ momentum.
