Real Madrid are reportedly set to upset Leicester City supporters by possibly bidding for star Fox Wilfred Ndidi, if transfer rumours are to be believed.

We are potentially around three weeks away from a Premier League return. Hopefully, as long as it is safe to do so, this will at least bring some light relief for many in the form of entertainment for a beleaguered country. Leicester City will most likely be playing in a neutral venue when the English top-flight makes its comeback.

One aspect of the sport which hasn’t ceased, is preparation before the transfer windows open. Foxes boss Brendan Rodgers has assured fans and business will still occur on Filbert Way; though he expects less movements to happen, generally.

In fact, it appears that signing players isn’t the most crucial undertaking Leicester can achieve when we arrive at the off-season – keeping their stars and core will be the hardest factor of 2020/21 success.

Leicester City star targeted by Real Madrid

Foxes of Leicester has previously explained at great detail that Wilfred Ndidi’s role,  composure and displays are ultra vital for Rodgers’ side’s advancement. Well, actually, one could describe the Nigerian as Leicester’s most important player overall.

Which is some credit or praise when you think of the rivals for that crown: Jamie Vardy, James Maddison, Kasper Schmeichel, Ricardo Pereira, etcetera, etcetera. Although, Ndidi isn’t the best, most gifted athlete at the King Power outfit – but his will and work ethic truly sets him apart. Keeping the 23-year-old could impact the stability of Premier League top-four positioning or eventual Champions League progress.

Those elements are most probably why Real Madrid want to sign Nigeria’s midfielder, that is if you believe reports from Spain carried by Leicester Mercury. In the report, it is suggested that Ndidi is a “favourite option” of Real Head Coach Zinedine Zidane.
