With the transfer market open for business, Leicester City’s stars are being targeted. However, Kasper Schmeichel won’t be leaving.

The Leicester City rollercoaster, eh!? That up and down journey is certainly operating again. Slating Brendan Rodgers and aligning him with Claude Puel – wow. Come on you minority of Blue Army members – open your eyes.

A couple of goalless matches and two-defensive-midfielders for a fraction of an FA Cup contest, as well as once recently in the league isn’t tantamount to the Frenchman’s shortcomings. It’s fairly obvious – to any person with footballing nous – that Rodgers’ tactical awareness and wanton attacking style eclipses Puel’s negativity in overly methodical play.

Under the Northern Irishman, Leicester’s modus operandi is about drawing the opposing into uncharted waters and exploiting the space with constant penetration. Although methods may not always work, the supporters must keep faith with Rodgers – because the club could and has had a lot worse in charge.

Leicester City star remaining a Fox

Kasper Schmeichel loves Leicester City Football Club. He is tied to the Foxes by a wonderful history of achievement, in an emotional sense and, obviously, physically. There is a sure bond along with mutual respect between player, staff and establishment.

Thankfully the goalkeeper and on pitch captain is not considering leaving Filbert Way. Schmeichel believes his beloved team can become an established big six entity under Rodgers and the Srivaddhanaprabha family. According to The Sun, the Danish stopper has also ruled out a transfer away from the King Power, by stating how players who have departed have gone on to regret their decisions.
