Portuguese champion set to join Leicester at end of season
If reports are true, Leicester City will sign Portuguese international and Real Betis midfielder, William Carvalho, at the end of the 2019/20 season.
The last thing needed on the Leicester City roster is another defensive-minded midfielder; irrespective of the fact that they may well be quality and play for a very talented national side in Portugal.
With Wilfred Ndidi, Hamza Choudhury and Nampalys Mendy in the squad, not to mention the very highly rated youth graduate Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall coming through, there doesn’t seem to be room for another of that type.
In fact, as you can tell, Dewsbury-Hall might need another loan. While Choudhury or Mendy could arguably be sold because of their limited opportunities, due to Ndidi’s prowess. Maybe the Nigerian is on his way out of Filbert Way this summer? He has been targeted by some big clubs, if hearsay is to be believed.
Leicester City will apparently sign William Carvalho
William Carvalho is allegedly set to sign for Leicester City at the end of the current season, ready for 2020/21. In a story carried by HITC, it is claimed that Real Betis’s man will join the East Midlanders for £22.5 million.
Leicester City‘s season really and truly hinges on their next match on Thursday versus Sheffield United at King Power Stadium. After Manchester United dropped the ball at home to Southampton, along with Chelsea’s thrashing at the hands of the Blades, the Foxes can capitalize. Yet, if the Bournemouth match is anything to go by, Rodgers’ side will be under severe pressure.
