Leicester City play Manchester United in a crucial contest on Sunday – the winner will qualify for the Champions League. While United have injury issues.

A 3-1 loss to Chelsea in the FA Cup for Manchester United was welcomed by Leicester City fans. Red Devils can take this satisfaction from the Foxes faithful as a compliment: United have been firing on all available cylinders since before the restart and are worryingly competent all of a sudden.

Although, the Blues defeat came after a very disappointing 2-2 draw in the Premier League with Southampton. Though sandwiched in between those setbacks for the Northern team was a victory at Crystal Palace.

Sunday’s battle for increased European prestige next season will be an anxious, tense rollercoaster ride for both sets of supporters. £20 million minimum in revenue is said to be riding on this game for either eventual triumphant club.

Injury issues for Leicester City, Manchester United

Everyone is aware that the wave of injury destruction to hit Brendan Rodgers’ squad has been detrimental to performances and results since the return. That fact is undeniable. However, the boss has also made mistakes himself, with regards to selection, formation and substitutions.

Yet there is a small boost for the King Power outfit ahead of the big game – Manchester Utd may be without four senior defenders: Eric Bailly, Luke Shaw, Phil Jones and Axel Tuanzebe. Former Fox Harry Maguire is expected to be fit after a problem.
