After a thrilling and then excitingly frustrating campaign for Leicester City, Jamie Vardy and Brendan Rodgers have been nominated for prestigious awards.

You may take exception to my little introduction above, “excitingly frustrating”, but it truly was: the run-in saw Leicester City supporters on the edge of their seats right up until the final moments. Yet there were incredibly positive outcomes, too: the discovery of the ice-cool Luke Thomas, an academy graduate and future England star for sure. Not to mention the amazing aim of reentry into European football being realised through Europa League qualification.
