Leicester City are in pole position to beat Manchester United and sign Bournemouth winger David Brooks for a fair amount.

Don’t worry Leicester City fans – it appears that a much wanted winger might just be on the way. It may not be the specific signing that the fans want – Said Benrahma of Brentford has been at the top of Foxes of Leicester’s polls – but David Brooks is a talented player. One this writer would be more than happy with in this peculiar, nerve racking transfer window.

Brooks ticks a lot of required boxes for the Foxes: he’s left-footed and plays on the right-side; part of his attraction or outstanding play is the willingness to take on and bypass his opponent, something lacking at City. He’s also young and can improve even more; along with being an international already.

Leicester City preparing offer

According to Express Sport, the Welshman is to be the subject of a £30 million bid from the King Power side. With the Cherries supposedly valuing their attacking duo of Callum Wilson along with Josh King at that amount, it seems like a realistic and fair price.

In addition, the outlet suggests Leicester may beat Manchester United to the player. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s outfit have been chasing Jadon Sancho of Borussia Dortmund all summer, yet it appears that they’ll miss out on him. Brooks is an apparent second choice target for United so they’ll probably go for him soon, City should therefore act quickly.
