Leicester City definitely want to sign some targets this summer. A winger and possibly a left-back are needed, so missing out Weston McKennie isn’t that bad.

Panic hasn’t quite set in yet, but Leicester City supporters are extremely keen to see the club sign at least one marquee player. Worry is a more appropriate word to use to describe the collective feeling amongst most Foxes fans.

Obviously they trust their owners – they’ve been wonderful from day one – however, there is concern that transfer funds aren’t adequate in relation to the King Power outfit’s ambitions. To sustain a top-six presence, let alone break the established top-four Premier League teams’ dominance or win a European tournament, then huge investment is probably required.

The reasons thought to be why Brendan Rodgers’ kitty might be as relatively little as £20 million, is due to massive investment in a brand new training facility. Not to mention plans for stadium expansion.

Leicester City to miss out on another player

Weston McKennie is being monitored by Leicester, apparently; he’s a central midfielder who can play in defence, too. Although, the Schalke man is now expected to join EPL rivals Southampton for £20m.

In other news for the East Midlanders, it has been confirmed that the fresh premiership fixtures will be published in full on Thursday, August 20 at around 9am. Regardless of the teams playing City first, it is going to be a hectic schedule for the side, with possibly more than 60 matches in a single campaign.
