Foxes of Leicester can’t really explain to you why Leicester City have not signed any players yet this summer. But Gerard Deulofeu should absolutely be targeted.

No new winger. No left-back signed to replace the probably departing Ben Chilwell. And no incoming quality striker to help or eventually succeed Jamie Vardy. Targets are also being sold to rival clubs. Leicester City’s transfer window is an absolute disaster at present. But it doesn’t have to be known as that by October when it slams shut – there is still good business to be done!

Available winger ideal for Leicester City

I’ve said it once, twice, now let FoL say it thrice: Watford’s Gerard Deulofeu is an ideal signing for Leicester. He and Harvey Barnes can play inverted out wide, or not, so there is a place for a winger with superb left and right feet. This is exactly the type of purchase the East Midlanders require.

Furthermore, the player has confirmed his serious intention to leave the Hornets. Although he has been “offered” to AC Milan; while Valencia are said to be interested, too.

In other Deulofeu news, the wingman was particularly unflattering about his former boss, new Barcelona gaffer Ronald Koeman. Hopefully the Spaniard would be more at ease with Brendan Rodgers’ highly-rated, well publicised individual man management style. Rather than the supposedly aloof approach of the Dutchman.

Trending. Foxes already negotiating for Tagliafico. light

Elsewhere in Leicester updates, the Foxes‘ first six Premier League fixtures have been announced. A trip to newly promoted West Bromwich Albion begins the campaign, then it’s Burnley and Manchester City for Rodgers’ side. Followed by West Ham United and Aston Villa at home, subsequent to a fixture at Arsenal. There are definitely 12-13 points realistically available here.
