Now that respected European football correspondent, Fabrizio Romano, has confirmed Leicester City’s interest in Nicolas Tagliafico, a deal is very likely.

If you were busy enjoying yourself or working on Friday night, you may have just missed or avoided the latest transfer news that Leicester City defender, Ben Chilwell, will join Chelsea imminently.

If it were last summer, you’d have heard more moaning, protest and indignation aimed toward the Foxes hierarchy for their decision to sell. However, Chilwell was not his old self in 2019/20. Lending some observers to arrive at the assertion that the England international didn’t give his all in some capacities so to protect his impending move to the Blues.

That opinion is harsh, but arguably not a million miles away form the truth if you merely compare the 23 year old’s performances in 2018/19 – when making his name – to this past campaign. A stark and worrying comparison.

Leicester City target replacement left-back already

It appears the King Power side have nominated the man they want to replace their current No.3 with: Ajax’s Nicolas Tagliafico. A very good fullback who can supply attacking input, as well as being a ferocious tackler.

The Argentine is admired by the club, along with most of the Blue Army whom I’ve spoken too. Now respected Italian journalist, Fabrizio Romano, has confirmed the East Midlanders have contacted the player’s agent.

Hot. Evans out, Jesus in?. light

Romano says Leicester did consider other options, but made their approach subsequent to Frank Lampard seemingly securing his wanted man.
