There have been nearly 50 links via the media regarding Leicester City’s transfer targets this summer. A staggering amount; FoL rates the new ones.

First of all, welcome to a fresh week of Leicester City news, views and transfer rumours explained via your favourite Foxes website, Foxes of Leicester. Talking of speculation around Filbert Way, we’ve got three current stories to analyse. Let’s get going!

To be absolutely accurate, two of the three pieces of conjecture we’re covering are not new transfer talk: the initial pair are what I would describe as reignited rumours.

James Tarkowski – 65% chance

Burnley’s Tarkowski is a long admired player by Leicester City. In fact, the East Midlands side have previously had a £30 million bid rejected by the Clarets for the centre-back. That fee seems about fair in this pandemic hit window.

Now hearsay is circulating of Leicester’s interest reemerging; Brendan Rodgers certainly needs another exceptional, senior centre-half. Tarkowski desires top-level football; the Foxes can provide Europa League which is almost the pinnacle. £40m will apparently secure his services.

Wesley Fofana – 50%

According to reports, Leicester join AC Milan, Arsenal and Everton in targeting Fofana of Saint Etienne. With the French club said to value the defender at £27m.

Rodgers’ Recruitment department will, say L’Equipe, attempt to outbid their rivals for Fofana. If the Foxes cannot obtain Tarkowski, it feels as though they will go for the Frenchman.

Rico Henry – 25%

Over the weekend, the Brentford man was connected with a move to Leicester by Express Sport. Reports suggest that City are “keen” on the player; Brighton & Hove Albion and Aston Villa are also interested. Leicestershire Live claims that the club is unlikely to sign another left-back with Christian Fuchs and Luke Thomas available, along with Timothy Castagne able to be deployed there.
