Leicester’s top transfer target desperately wants Foxes move
Saint Etienne’s French centre-back Wesley Fofana has explained how he desperately desires a move to Leicester City, following speculation about the Foxes.
Leicester City’s latest top target has supposedly been revealed. The Foxes were said to want a winger most, but now it’s a centre-back. Saint Etienne centre-half Wesley Fofana is the man most wanted on Filbert Way this summer.
And the feeling is absolutely mutual, according to the Frenchman: on Thursday he took the fairly unprecedented step of politely demanding that St. Etienne allow his switch to the Premier League.
However, former Leicester boss Claude Puel is Fofana’s gaffer in France, and he is not keen on losing his up and coming asset. Puel says that it would be best for the player’s development if he remains with Les Verts.
Defender pleads for Leicester City switch
In a rare move, the 19 year old, who is also supposedly wanted by AC Milan and RB Leipzig, gave an interview explaining how he’d be “crazy” to reject the Foxes!
Furthermore, it is claimed that Brendan Rodgers’ club have offered Fofana a five-year deal, worth £26 million to his current team. Yet the Frenchman at St. Etienne’s helm suggested to the athlete that he’s not for sale.
First up for Leicester in the premiership return, are newly elevated West Bromwich Albion. The Baggies have made some very promising signings, such as Grady Diangana. And being a rival of the Foxes ensures a thrilling, challenging opening day for Rodgers’ side.
