Kasper Schmeichel’s new adventure in amazing Leicester journey
Kasper Schmeichel has spoken about how he’s looking forward to the new adventure in his amazing Leicester City journey.
This season Kasper Schmeichel has started pretty strongly; he’s reliable but his distribution is often maligned by fans, with several Leicester City managers attempting to correct the kicking aspect.
Nevertheless, most Foxes fans feel comfortable, happy, content and glad to have the former Premier League champion as first choice goalkeeper. Though if he cannot make amendments to his passing, as well as clearing by foot – some supporters ask how long he’ll last as Leicester’s No.1 in the modern era. A fair question, in my opinion.

What is certain, is that boss of the King Power club, Brendan Rodgers, considers Schmeichel his main ‘keeper; whether the Dane’s status is impenetrable or not is another matter. With the latter turning 34 in November, it’s hard to see too many positive alterations transpiring.
The criticism doesn’t seem to bother the Danish international, as he spoke recently of his longing for European football once more:
"“It’s been an amazing journey. I joined here nearly 10 years ago now and we’ve experienced a bit of everything.“…This year, it’s European football again for us and we’re looking forward to that.”"

Meanwhile, Timothy Castagne was impressive again by all accounts in a wingback role for Belgium. Obviously it’s a more attacking spot, and the fact that it was left-sided bodes well for the eventual return of Ricardo Pereira to Rodgers’ team. Although, James Justin has really improved this season and won my approval, after a slightly nervy showing in 2019/20’s restart. Good problems.
