2 Leicester players have been ruled out of Villa clash
Unfortunately two Leicester City players have been ruled out of the EPL clash against Aston Villa. While four other Foxes face late fitness tests.
Aston Villa will already be buoyant as they prepare to take on Leicester City at King Power Stadium. Now that the Foxes squad is depleted once again, the Villans will be even more self-assured. Their confidence has arisen mainly from the dismantling of Liverpool 7-2 at Villa Park. Although, Dean Smith’s signings are already acclimatising well and they’ve had some other favourable results as well.
Meanwhile, the East Midlanders had been on a terrific run in the division, before the unlikely West Ham United helped Everton remove them from the top of the table.
Brendan Rodgers confirms injuries at Leicester City
At his pre-game press conference, Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers made the revelation that Turkish centre-half Caglar Soyuncu and Ghanaian utility man Daniel Amartey are both unavailable for Sunday’s contest.
That update goes along with the equally worrying news that Dennis Praet, Jonny Evans and James Maddison all face late fitness testes. Oh, and talismanic joint second leading EPL goalscorer, Jamie Vardy, is also doubtful for the match.
One man who is set to benefit from these latest developments is fresh signing and centre-back, Wesley Fofana. Obviously the defender would prefer to make his debut in less trying circumstances, yet he describes himself as a ‘soldier’ and he evidently has his manager’s faith.
At the time of publishing, the Championship transfer window had only been closed for an hour or so. Excellent Leicester prospect Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has been loaned to Luton Town, not before he signed a new four-year extension to his current Foxes deal.
