Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers has also criticised the Premier League and broadcasters for their £15-per-game charge.

An extra £15 added to your already existing subscription fee for Sheffield United versus Fulham – wow. That is an absolute joke. And it is a disgrace that this special Pay Per View price has been introduced while fans across the Great Britain have less money and, in some cases, no job or a decreased earning capacity.

Oh, and the Premier League along with broadcasters can still generate funds as they always did. Unlike those unfortunate, ordinary people who have seen business evaporate as well as earnings, but would love to view matches.

Leicester manager Brendan Rodgers is also not pleased with broadcasters and the Premier League‘s joint decision. Although the Northern Irishman doesn’t directly name organisations presumably to avoid unfair punishment, he offered sincere sympathy to the Blue Army and the wider community over the Box Office disagreement:

"“I’m disappointed for supporters, at the moment it’s already very difficult for them.“If you can’t afford to pay that, then you don’t get to see the game. If it is in place now then I hope it’s not going to be for a sustained period of time.”"

Now it appears that the clubs’ faithful and neutral viewers have boycotted the coverage in large numbers. In fact, in a wonderful move, Newcastle United and Manchester United’s Supporters’ groups said a large amount of members gave the price of their game, £14.95, to foodbanks rather than give it to Sky Sports.

Elsewhere in EPL updates, it emerged last week that division bosses will hold a debate to discuss whether or not supporters should be allowed back into stadia for elite matches in November. There is a well-backed petition that will be heard on the 9th of that month.
