Leicester centre-back doubtful for Leeds United match

Following three consecutive wins in the Premier League and Europa League, Leicester City face a tough challenge versus Leeds United. But Jonny Evans is a doubt for the game.

Brendan Rodgers hailed his Leicester City team for producing a professional performance in Greece on Thursday evening. A hard-fought and certainly far from pretty encounter developed, as AEK Athens did more than just dig in. In fact, the Greeks could and probably should have equalised.

However, it is also understandable that managers are scared of incurring further injuries to their already fitness hit sides in the testing and worrying COVID-19 era.

There was also some bad news provided by the Leicester boss as the UEL clash unfolded. Timothy Castagne may be injured until after the upcoming international break. That means the Belgian star could miss up to three of the East Midlands outfit’s next fixtures. James Justin, Christian Fuchs and Luke Thomas will have to be on top form for a while.

In addition to that unnerving update, it appears that veteran and leading centre-back Jonny Evans is a doubt for the Leeds United meeting on Monday, after he too missed out in the week. According to Rodgers, the Northern Irish defender landed awkwardly against Arsenal, as per Leeds Live.
