Leicester City travel to Yorkshire on Monday for a tense clash with Leeds United. FoL states the Whites’ injuries and predicts their line-up.

While analysing Premier League football – and obviously being a Leicester City supporter – it is proving increasingly difficult not to admire Leeds United’s achievements in returning to and starring in the English top-flight.

Not to mention commending United’s wonderful manager Marcelo Bielsa; who is certainly worthy of a top-class documentary, or even a movie in the style of The Damned United. Of course that film about Brian Clough also heavily featured the famous Leeds side of the 1960s.

Before Bielsa revolutionised the Yorkshire team’s contemporary play and effectively enabled them to rise once again from obscurity, he was already revered by leading bosses in the division. They include Manchester City’s Pep Guardiola and Brendan Rodgers, the current Leicester manager.

Leeds United’s likely line-up for Leicester City

Leeds have several players injured who won’t feature on Monday versus the King Power side: Kalvin Phillips, Diego Llorente and presumably Adam Forshaw.

Furthermore, Bielsa confirmed that Liam Cooper is available again; that information comes via Leeds Live. Yet, Foxes of Leicester only envisages a substitute appearance for Cooper. Therefore FoL can predict a Whites starting eleven:

Illan Meslier; Stuart Dallas, Robin Koch, Luke Ayling, Egzjan Alioski; Hélder Costa, Jamie Shackleton, Mateusz Klich; Jack Harrison, Rodrigo; and Patrick Bamford.

Former professional footballers at Liverpool, Michael Owen and Mark Lawrenson, who are now pundits, have concurred with one another on the big game’s outcome. Both believe that the Peacocks will triumph over the Foxes in the gameweek’s final outing. Owen predicts an entertaining encounter, but thinks Leeds will prevail. While Lawrenson expects Bamford goals will decide the tie, also according to Leeds Live.
