Caglar Soyuncu was expected to be out until at least early December with an injury, but thankfully Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers has given a positive update.

Marcelo Bielsa, who?! That is the cry from Leicester City fans after witnessing another excellent team performance against Leeds United. A victory conducive to a Brendan Rodgers tactical masterclass, once more.

In fact, before the encounter during Foxes of Leicester’s previews etcetera, we actually assessed the similarities between both brilliant managers. Not to mention FoL explaining that the Northern Irishman’s style was impacted by the pioneering Argentine.

Yet, the King Power side were 4-1 winners in an exciting, rather one-sided contest.

Good injury news for Leicester City star

Leicester began this potentially tough away game with an extra centre-back, again. Caglar Soyuncu and Jonny Evans were both unavailable so it was James Justin, the superb Wesley Fofana and Christian Fuchs making up the trio. They were an effective, combative, but ball-playing unit on the night.

Although, it would be great to have the aforementioned starting defenders back fit and available for selection. And, thankfully, that may be the case soon.

Soyuncu’s injury doesn’t require surgery as first feared, Rodgers confirmed to BBC Sport after the win. However, the Turk will still be sidelined until the international break ends at the earliest, according to the boss. But the centre-half could’ve been out until Christmas so this is great news for the east Midlanders.

Braga are realistic challengers to the Foxes’ romp towards a Group G triumph. The two teams are joint top, presently; the important game takes place on Thursday evening.
