Kasper Schmeichel made more fine saves as Leicester City qualified for the Europa League knockout rounds. But he simultaneously berated his defence.

You wouldn’t wanna mess with Kasper Schmeichel if you were one of the defenders in front of the Leicester City stopper. Schmeichel comes from pedigree stock in the goalkeeping world: his father Peter was one of the best athletes ever to wear a pair of gloves.

Schmeichel senior also ruled of his defence with an iron fist; seriously, the guy was actually scary when giving Alex Ferguson-esque hairdryer treatment to his back-line.

Both are supremely talented ‘keepers. When Kasper won a Premier League title and became truly magnificent in his own right, many of us Blue Army members were happy for him to be out from under the shadow placed over him simply by having a great of the game as his dad.

Leicester City stopper justifiably berates defence

When Braga went ahead at Leicester’s expense in their UEL clash on Thursday – a 3-3 draw ultimately saw the King Power side progress in the competition – Kasper Schmeichel can be seen and heard telling off his team-mates quite forcibly.

To be fair to the stopper, even on as the Portuguese took the lead, Luke Thomas’ mark got away

but the starlet made a good follow up tackle. Then Evans wasn’t tight enough before blocking well; Dennis Praet was the worst offender for ball watching as Ali Elmusrati blasted home a goal.

Later in the first half, the 34-year-old was picked up on television microphones labelling his colleagues as: “F****** slow! F****** late!”, as per Daily Star.

In another Foxes update, reports suggested former-Leicester attacker and eventual flop, Ahmed Musa, could make a return to English football. Sheffield Wednesday were the surprising outfit who were said to be interested in the Nigeria international. Yet, the man himself ended speculation by ruling out a move. Good luck to Musa; one of those players you’d always see happily wearing a smile, whatever his team status.
