Leicester City have received another potentially major injury boost prior to meeting Fulham in the Premier League.

Last week the football world eagerly listened as they were told that Ricardo Pereira, Wilfred Ndidi and Caglar Soyuncu would soon return to the Leicester City side. In fact, all three should play some part, even if cameo appearances, in the upcoming Europa League clash away at Ukrainian club Zorya Luhansk on Thursday.

Oh how that particular trio have been missed by Foxes fans, too. However, due to the prowess and form of understudies such as James Justin, Papy Mendy and fresh signing and major prospect Wesley Fofana, the three previously mentioned stars’ absences haven’t been felt anything like Foxes of Leicester – and everyone else – first imagined.

Significant injury boost for Leicester City

Leicester play Scott Parker’s Fulham late Monday afternoon. Brendan Rodgers won’t have Ricardo, Ndidi or Soyuncu to call upon. Yet, the Northern Irishman may be able to recall Belgian favourite Timothy Castagne back to the matchday squad.

According to Football Fancast, Rodgers assessed the versatile defender/midfielder’s involvement as possible for the sure to be interesting fixture against the Whites. Castagne’s attacking penetration could be key for Leicester in what might be a tighter encounter than many believe.

Christian Fuchs looks ahead

Leicester defender Christian Fuchs, who’s played very well as a veteran stand in for Soyuncu and Jonny Evans when he was out with a problem, has warned his team-mates about the Cottagers in advance of the meeting. Thankfully the former-Austria captain says they’re expecting a fight from Fulham.

Fuchs envisages a deep block from the Londoners, who he says will not want to experience another top-flight relegation. Furthermore, he thinks the opposition are not to be underestimated despite their lowly league position. Fulham will wait patiently and attempt swift counter-attacks – remind you of a team?!
