Leicester player targeted by Barcelona addresses speculation

Whenever Barcelona or Real Madrid are linked with a transfer, it is instantly interesting for multiple reasons. Leicester City player Sidnei Tavares is one of those.

Listen, ultimately this proposed transfer is unlikely to occur. Especially when the Fox in question, Sidnei Tavares, hasn’t featured for the senior side yet, let alone stamped his authority or made his name. He has, however, impressed thoroughly when playing for the First Team in friendlies, practice cups and for the Development squad, etcetera.

If Tavares does find himself in Spain playing for arguably the world’s most famous side, hopefully Lionel Messi will still be there to tutor the current Fox.

Revealingly, Tavares – a relative of former-Manchester United winger Nani – has opened up on being linked with the Catalan giants:

Leicester City transfer update

We also have a transfer update from Filbert Way via Daily Mail, as Filip Benkovic has gone on loan to King Power International Group owned OH Leuven in Belgium – Leicester’s sister club. Benkovic was expected to join Celtic, possibly permanently; though Leicester decided to keep the Croatian centre-back within the Foxes family.

Cardiff City was the Croat’s previous temporary side, where he struggled. Let’s hope he improves, plays well for the Belgians and finally gets his big Leicester chance during the summer pre-season or even competitively around that time. If not, it’ll be too late for Benkovic on Filbert Way.
